My Happy Spring Update! :)

Heyyyy y'all! It's been awhile since I have been on here, but life picked up the pace and has not slowed down one bit! I LOVE it!!!

First, I was asked to design/coordinate the Life AsRx (fitness apparel) Women's 2011 Spring Line which was such a blast and so exciting!! It was especially exciting every time a new shipment came in and I was able to see the finished product! I feel so incredibly honored to have been asked to take on this project and I had so much fun doing it! It will definitely be a memory for the books. Thanks to everyone at Life AsRx for entrusting me with such a task! I put some of my favorites below... Enjoy! :) Also, here is the link to the rest of this year's spring line and last year's line, too! http://lifeasrx.com/asrx/womens.html/

There are headbands now, too! Yay!

I am also in the middle of helping promote the Life AsRx US [CrossFit] Tour which has been super exciting and so has getting to see how awesome the first one in Orlando a few weeks ago turned out! The next 3 cities are Hartford, Dallas, and Chicago... Get ready!

Next, I was offered a coaching position at CrossFit Counter Culture in San Diego and I am absolutely loving it!! Coaching is a huge passion of mine and I am so humbled and feel so blessed and privileged to get to go do something I love with a passion everyday! I am honored to get to share my knowledge and strengths with others on a daily basis as much as I love learning from other coaches/athletes knowledge and strengths. I love helping people no matter what it is, but especially when it involves them reaching their goals. I love helping people do things they never imagined they could. I love watching people grow stronger physically, mentally, and emotionally. I love cheering people on, especially when they have gone past the point of self doubt. I love helping and watching people dig deep to push through that pain, fear, fatigue, and fight through super tough physical and mental battles. So, yeah... I kinda like coaching if you couldn't tell. ;) It seriously excites me to the very core of who I am.

GO 9ers!! :)

6:30pm Crew knows how to work! :)

Another little project I've been working on are my Beach Boot Camps! I am finishing up the Spring Beach Boot Camp I have been holding on Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. We have been having SO much fun and the view ain't that bad either! It's not hard to go to "your happy place" when you're staring right at it! ;) I LOVE it! My 2 favorite things to do... Going to the beach and working out! Life doesn't get much better than that! If you live in or around North San Diego County/ Encinitas/ Cardiff-by-the-Sea/Carlsbad/etc. and you're interested in joining the next (kid-friendly) beach boot camp starting in July please feel free to contact me via email at zap@crossfitcounterculture.com or 281.840.3965 for more info! Also, check me out on Facebook and become a fan! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Encinitas-Ladies-Boot-Camp/131936850207682 I also offer ongoing personal training and group training if you or someone you know is desiring more of a one-on-one approach to fitness.

3...2...1... GO!

A few weeks ago I had the super awesome opportunity to fly to Florida alongside, Marcus, to meet with a group of staff members from the Hard Rock Cafe Headquarters who meet during their lunch break to work out. [I was able to fly my awesome mom to San Diego to stay with Rylee while I was away... Such a blessing! I have an absolutely awesome and beautiful mom! Thanks for flying all the way here and for being the best Mimi and Mom ever! I love you!] Annnd back to my story... We were able to spend some time coaching the Hard Rock HQ staff on basic movements and were able to share fitness tips, etc. with them. It was super cool and I even got to hold Bob Marley's guitar, so the trip was definitely worth it! hehe ;) After spending part of the week in Orlando we then traveled south to Miami where we took part in the Crossfit Sports Series- WOD-Sup (stand up paddle-boarding event)! It was such a blast, the weather was perfect, the water was beautiful, the people were great, and we partied like it was 1999! ;) When it was all over I got to spend a night with my best friend, Becca, in Fort Lauderdale, where she lives... It was wayyy over due! We ordered Chinese take-out and had a super relaxing girls' night in watching movies. It was perfect. Thanks for being so awesome, Becca! Love you! :)

This past weekend one of my best friends, Kristen, flew in to visit. What an awesome weekend we had!! Gosh, I miss you so much already, Kristen! She was such a good sport and was so brave to let me put her through her very first CrossFit workout! She did so awesome! The next day we drove up to LA and met up with some more Texas girls for a super fun girls' day and night! It was SO good to be around super awesome, super sweet friends! Such a blast!

In a couple days I will be leaving for Tacoma, Washington for Life AsRx (fitness apparel company) to work the CrossFit Regionals and a few days later will be headed to Houston for the same reason... Excitement is an understatement! I am SO incredibly thrilled to be getting the chance to be supporting such an awesome community of people and athletes alike! Yay! I am also super excited to be getting to go back home for a little while, too! Btw, Atomic CrossFit is who to look out for at the (Houston) Regionals!!! Woo!! :)

Well, until next time just remember what Rocky says...
Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But, it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that! -Rocky Balboa

Just a Little Happy February Update :)

February has been amazing, wonderful, and such an adventure! I started back coaching gymnastics after taking almost a year off and I am having such a blast! I also had the awesome opportunity to get my CrossFit Gymnastics Certification a couple weekends ago and what a fun weekend it was! I had the opportunity to meet some really great people and also be reunited with my old childhood friend from Texas, Kelly!

I recently began promoting my new photography business http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nicole-Zapoli-Photography/195404127140184 and I am incredibly happy with the super awesome response I have received so far! If you or someone you know is in the market for a photographer who fits your budget without sacrificing on quality and professionalism while still maintaining a highly creative approach... Please send them my way! ;) Check out the link above to view my most recent clients' photo shoots. Any feedback you have is also very much appreciated... and if you happen to 'Like' my new Facebook photography page you will automatically receive your first 1 hour session for just $50 (including a full picture CD)! Now, that's a good deal. ;)

I am also in the process of putting together a ladies' beach boot camp http://www.facebook.com/pages/HB-Boot-Camp/131936850207682 . Go check it out! :) I am holding a FREE beach boot camp next Saturday, March 5th for anyone who would like to join us! We will be down on the beach (@12th and PCH) getting our workout on from 9 to 10am... Come join the fun! :) Check out the link above for more details and information. Another cool thing I had the chance to do last week was another fitness shoot for Life AsRx, both in front and behind the lens this time! Such a good time! :) I also decided, alongside Marcus, to run in the OC Marathon in Newport Beach on May 1st. I am so very excited! He has also convinced me to try the CrossFit Endurance (http://www.crossfitendurance.com/) training approach instead of the traditional marathon training schedule (http://www.halhigdon.com/marathon/Mar00index.htm) I used the last time. I am super curious and excited to try out this new training program and see what happens!

Lastly, I am continuing in my yoga teacher training and just recently started my internship and I must say, I absolutely love my mentor, my instructors, and my class! I seriously feel so thankful for ALL the opportunities I have been given so far this year and hope I do not take any of them for granted. I am so excited about life and where it is taking me! :)

Happy February, y'all!

My [Exciting] January Update!

Hey, y'all! A lot has happened since the last time I wrote on this thing. Lots of super exciting things are taking off and going on in this little life of mine. First, I started my yoga teacher training last Friday and I am so excited about this new little journey I have started down. Second, I "launched" a little photography biz and I am super stoked at how well it is going and so soon! I had my first official shoot this past Wednesday and gosh, it was such a blast and I have received a great response on everything! My next shoot is for a sweet friend of mine, Emily Rabin, who is a musician/artist/songwriter. I'm so super pumped! Third, this past Tuesday I was hired to coach gymnastics at SCATS Gymnastics Academy and I couldn't be more thrilled. This past week has been a blast and I definitely had forgotten how much I just love coaching! Fourth, I just found out that I will be doing the CrossFit Gymnastics Cert in two weeks up in LA!! AHHHHHHHHH! I'm SO excited, if you couldn't tell. ;) Fifth, Rylee was asked to do some modeling for Billabong and had her photo shoot for the Fall 2011 Catalog a couple weeks ago! It was a precious, a blast, and so unexpected! She whispered in my ear half way through, "Mommy, can I do this forever?" Haha:) Sixth, I feel so blessed to have made some really great and amazing friends here in my new California home and I seriously would NOT be able to do any of these things without them. Thanks, y'all and Happy Friday! :)

Here's some of the photos from the Wednesday's shoot at the Huntington Beach Pier with Melinda and Vivian... Enjoy! :) Oh, and check out my Facebook page for more info: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Nicole-Zapoli-Photography/195404127140184
